The Yellow Medicine East volleyball team went 1-3 at a tournament played Saturday in Hancock.
The Sting went 1-2 in pool play, with their win coming in a two-set sweep af Ashby (25-22, 28-26).
In consolation play, West Central defeated YME 25-18, 25-21.
Makayla Dyrdahl was the Sting's top hitter Saturday, collecting 25 kills over the four matches. Nena McCalla had a team-high 31 digs, and Alexis Peters tallied 24 set assists during the tournament.
YME (2-16 overall) returns to West Central Conference play today with a match against Sauk Centre in Granite Falls.
