MARSHALL - A workshop on "Living the Transformed Life" will be hosted free of charge this Saturday at the Marshall Middle School.
The workshop consists of four sessions led by two motivational speakers starting at 8 a.m. and is hosted by SPIN-zone.
SPIN-zone (Serving People In Need) is a local organization based in Cottonwood that loans cars free of charge to people in transportation crisis, said Dave Hoff, founder and president.
"Dr. Grant Mullen began professionally as a family practice physician prescribing antibiotics and pain killers, but patients were coming to him with pain he couldn't fix," Hoff said. "Now he helps people with spiritual crisis. Rich Miller is the current president of Freedom in Christ Ministries in Knoxville, Tennessee, which is dedicated to helping people understand who they are in Christ and how it has transforming power."
According to Hoff, the chance to bring these two speakers together was an uncommon opportunity not likely to happen again soon.
Mullen will lead the first two morning sessions on "Why the need for transformation?" and "Mood swings and depression, can a Christian be depressed?"
Miller will lead one morning session on "Preparing for transformation," and the afternoon session "Seven steps to freedom."
According to Hoff, the seven steps are: counterfeit versus real, deception versus truth, bitterness versus forgiveness, rebellion versus submission, pride versus humility, bondage versus freedom, and curses versus blessings.
