MCC 52, TMB 46 (2OT)
In a game that featured over 700 yards of total offense and 98 points scored, the Murray County Central Rebels snuck out of Tracy with a 52-46 Little Sioux Conference win over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Thursday.
MCC senior running back Jack Thony accounted for 263 total yards (197 rushing, 66 receiving) and four touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving), including the decisive nine-yard touchdown scamper in the second overtime.
Needing to score on the next drive to extend overtime, the Panthers' comeback chances ended abruptly after a desperation heave was intercepted by MCC's Devin Miranowski to clinch the Rebels' victory.
TMB senior quarterback Parker Lanoue ran for 68 yards and three scores, and was 10 of 20 for 172 yards passing and two touchdowns. Austin Gleis and Josh Kirk each had touchdown snags for the Panthers.
MCC (1-0 overall) takes on Dawson-Boyd on Sept. 7 in Slayton, while TMB (0-1) travels to MACCRAY on Sept. 7.

Dawson-Boyd 85, Lakeview 0
The Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks began their Class A state title defense in dominant fashion, running all over the Lakeview Lakers in an 85-0 win Thursday night in Dawson.
Dawson-Boyd out-gained Lakeview 559-44 during the rout, including a 361-35 yardage disparity on the ground.
The Blackjacks jumped out to an early lead on the Lakers, finding the end zone four times in the first quarter. Running back Justin Lee scored a pair of touchdowns on two-yard runs.
Wide receiver Nathaniel Huot caught his first of two touchdowns on the game during the quarter, taking a Joey Lee pass 34 yards for the score. Joey Lee had the fourth touchdown in the quarter on an 42-yard interception return for a touchdown off of Lakeview signal caller Taylor Pickthorn. A pair of missed extra point field goals made the score 26-0 after the first quarter.
Michael Anyasike took Pickthorn's second interception of the night for a score. The 17-yard touchdown and ensuing Easton Popma PAT made the score 40-0.
Leading 54-0 at halftime, Dawson-Boyd would add two more touchdowns over each of the final two quarters.
Dawson-Boyd continues its title defense next Friday when they face the Murray County Central Rebels in Slayton. Lakeview will hope to bounce back from this loss when they host the Canby Lancers in Cottonwood, also next Friday.
