Reward offered for information on burglary

MARSHALL - Marshall Police are investigating a robbery/burglary reported Thursday morning.

Police responded to an incident reported at 9:24 a.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Carrow Street. A resident walked in on a burglary in progress, Police said in a release Friday. Police said the suspect in the burglary/robbery was described as an adult black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds, wearing a pair of dark blue knee length shorts, a white t-shirt and a skull cap with a backpack. The suspect fled on foot heading in the direction of East College Drive, Police said.

The Marshall Police Department and the Marshall Area Crime Fund are offering a $500 reward for information leading the to arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the burglary.

Police also urge Marshall residents to report suspicious activity while it is happening. When reporting suspicious activity, try to get a description of the suspects and their vehicle and do not confront suspects.
