Representatives of the Minneota High School girls' basketball team went 2-2 at the Minnesota Pacesetter Sweet 16 at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph over the weekend.
Minneota lost its first two games of the tournament, both on Saturday. First, the Vikings fell to Mankato East 48-47. Minneota's second loss came against Pacesetter Tech, a team composed of girls from several Minnesota high schools that attended the Pacesetter camp and created to fill the void from a late withdrawal. Minneota lost that game 70-62.
Sunday proved different, as the Vikings won a pair of games against two Class A schools. Minneota opened Sunday with a 47-36 victory over 2012 State Tournament participant Isle. Then Minneota topped 2012 Class A runner-up Mountain Iron-Buhl 54-39.
