RAPID CITY, S.D. - Mass of Christian Burial for Joyce Cody, 81, will be at 9 a.m. today at the Cathedral Of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in The Lady's Chapel. Private family inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis at a later date.
Joyce died Friday, June 29, 2012, at West Hills Village on Friday, June 29, 2012.
She was born Joyce GrandPre in Marshall. Joyce was married to Kenneth Cody in Greenville, Texas on April 15, 1951. After 61 years of marriage, Joyce always said she had enjoyed her life to the fullest and had been married longer than most, so this was not to be a sad time. In addition to her own two children, she left behind friends all over the world that were proud to call her "Mom."
Survivors include her husband Kenneth; daughter, Jean (John) Mattson; son Robert Cody; two grandchildren, Olivia Weter and Amy Jean and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; a sister and a granddaughter.
