Students to make presentation
at Living Word Lutheran
Thirty college-age students, on their way from Baltimore to Seattle and staying in Marshall, will talk about the 4K for Cancer, a program of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Living Word Lutheran Church in Marshall. The 4K for Cancer challenges people to undertake the 70-day 4000+ mile summer bike ride across the United States with the goal of offering hope, inspiration and support to cancer communities along the way.
Summer social at Balaton Community Center Sunday
The Balaton United Methodist Church is sponsoring a summer social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Balaton Community Center.
The menu will include barbecues, assorted salads, homemade pies and ice cream. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for those ages 12 and under.
