MARSHALL - Danielle Josephine Clapp, 22, of Minneota, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 5 on charges of third degree driving while impaired. A complaint alleges Clapp drove with an alcohol level of .17 in Marshall on June 15, and had a prior DWI conviction in 2006. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for July 3.

MARSHALL - Kristopher Lance Crawford, 29, of Grand Prairie, Texas, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court June 5 to charges of depriving another of custodial rights, court records said. A complaint alleges Crawford contributed to the runaway status of a minor in Marshall between June 30 and July 3, 2011. A one-day jury trial was set for July 11. A pretrial hearing was set for July 3.

MARSHALL - Marissa Elvira Mares, 21, of Granite Falls, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 5 on charges of second degree burglary, possession of stolen property, financial transaction card fraud, and fifth degree controlled substance crime. A complaint alleges Mares entered a school in Lyon County without permission and stole wallets on May 7, used another person's financial transaction card to make more than $1,300 in charges, and possessed stolen prescription drugs. Attorney Joel Solie told the court Mares is considering participating in drug court, and asked that the hearing be continued to a later date. The hearing was continued to June 19.

MARSHALL - Kathryn Jean Brown, 49, of Tyler, appeared in Lyon County District Court June 5 on charges of second degree driving while impaired - refusal to test and open bottle. A complaint alleges Brown refused to take an alcohol test in Marshall on May 24, and had a prior refusal to test conviction within the last 10 years. A hearing was set for July 3.

MARSHALL - Henry John Bot, 63, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court June 5 to charges of violating a restricted driver's license, court records said. Bot drove in violation of a restricted license in Lyon County on April 21, court records said. Bot received a stayed sentence of one year in jail, and two years probation with conditions including complete 100 hours of Sentenced to Service, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Brittany Sue Norstegard, 23, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court June 5 to charges of having no no-fault insurance, court records said. Norstegard drove a vehicle without insurance in Marshall on Feb. 10, and had two prior convictions for not having insurance, court records said. Norstegard was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail with 179 days stayed, pay a $300 fine, and probation with conditions including serve one day in jail, complete 40 hours of Sentenced to Service, and do not drive unlawfully.
