Participants in the Avera Marshall Race Against Breast Cancer wait for the starting signal to kick off this year’s event that started on Hill Street in Marshall on Saturday morning. Organizers of the race, which raises money for local cancer prevention and treatment efforts, said attendance was at a record high. About 450 people participated in a 10K run or a 5K run/walk. Finishing first in the 10K run was Jeff Stuckenbroker, with a time of 32 minutes and 13 seconds. Coming in first place in the 5K run was Chad DeAustin, with a time of 16 minutes and 57 seconds.
