On Thursday, the Yellow Medicine East boys' and girls' golf teams played in the Section 3AA-Northeast sub-section championship, and had two golfers - Mitch McCosh and Erica Moritz - qualify for the Section 3AA championship.
The Section 3AA championship takes place on Thursday in Willmar.
McCosh carded an 85 to become the Sting boys' lone representative. The team took third place with a score of 372. Following Mitch McCosh, Charles Blue and Spencer McCosh each carded 94s for YME. Led by Joey Dreier, who took medalist honors with a 71, New London-Spicer won the boys' title with a score of 310.
In the girls' meet, Moritz carded a 101, helping the Sting to a team score of 450. Leah Jeseritz and Claressa Theilen finished with 112 and 116, respectively.
Minnewaska won the girls' meet with a 317, led by medalist Alexis Guggisberg's round of 74.
