CANBY - Services for Cheryl Erp, 58, of Canby will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Canby with Rev. Janet Colby officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Birk Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and will resume Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Bohemian Cemetery, Hansonville Township, Rural Canby.
Cheryl passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Sanford Canby Medical Center in Canby.

Cheryl Ann Erp was born March 8, 1954, in Dawson, to Clarence and Irene (VanBriesen) Harberts. She attended country school until third grade and then went to school in Dawson. On March 23, 1974, she was united in marriage to Michael Erp at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Canby; to this union five children were born - Todd, Teresa, Travis, Jason, and Corey.
Throughout the years, Cheryl worked at Schott Corp, Tahar Foods, Murphy's Bar and Grill, and also did daycare for many years. She was like a second mother to many. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed much time at the lake. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael; her children, Todd Erp of Grand Forks, ND AFB, Teresa (Jamie) Jelen of Canby, Jason Erp of Canby, Corey (Kelly) Erp of Canby; grandchildren, Lauren, Alexis, and Austin Erp, Kyler, Kalli, Hannah, and Rachel Jelen, and Brooklyn Frensko; siblings, Beverly (Gerald) Willis of Madison, Roger (Carol) Harberts of Dawson, Dennis Harberts of Montevideo, Douglas (Kay) Harberts of Dawson, Delores (Don) Ochs of Montevideo, Bonnie (Rod) Portele of Hutchinson, Linda (Roger) Tollakson of Dawson, Judy (Roger) Mead of Dawson, Ilene Lehman of Boyd, Shirley (Mel) Svoboda of Canby, Debra (Duane) Mead of Granite Falls; sisters-in-law, Mary Adler of Canby, Nancy (John) Malone of Currie, Kathy (Doug) Madsen of Taunton, Lori Bednarek of Canby, Bonnie Bauman of Pine River; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene Harberts; son, Travis John; granddaughter, Paeden Marie Jelen; brother, Curtis Harberts; brother-in-law, Duwayne Lehman; sisters-in-law, Ardyce Harberts, Linda Harberts, and LeAnn Bednarek; in-laws, William and Arlene Erp; and Jameson Malone.
