With the team drawing a total of eight walks and showing plate discipline in the bottom of the seventh inning, Minneota/Lincoln HI junior Isaac Josephson belted a single through the middle of the infield for a 5-4 walk-off victory over Central Minnesota Christian in Camden Conference play Friday in Minneota.
Luke Bretschneider led the Vikings with two hits as six different players had hits in the win. Cal Swedzinski got the win on the mound in relief.
At 2-1 in the Camden and 2-2 overall, Minneota/Lincoln HI hosts Lac qui Parle Valley on Tuesday.

Canby 11, Montevideo 9
Canby scored three runs in the top of the seventh to snatch an 11-9 win over Montevideo in a non-conference game played Friday in Montevideo.
Cole Brusven had a key RBI double in the seventh to tie the game at nine. Montevideo then intentionally walked Tate Citrowske and walked Stephen Huber before Chris Kaddatz came up and hit a two-run single to put the Lancers up 11-9. Bryce Gorder took the ball in the bottom of the inning and shut down the Thunder Hawks to earn the win.
At the plate, Brusven finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cole Morris went 2-for-3 for Canby, and Kaddatz finished 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
Canby improves to 2-1 after the win and will resume Camden Conference play Monday with a road game against Dawson-Boyd.

Adrian 1, RTR 0
For the second straight day, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton was unable to find enough offense to support a strong pitching performance. A day after Phil Madsen gave up just three hits in a 2-0 RTR loss, the Knights' Shay Wabeke held Adrian to just three hits on Friday, but RTR was unable to push any runs across the plate and lost 1-0.
Wabeke had four strikeouts and two walks in the game.
Mitchell Sieve earned the complete-game win for Adrian, striking out nine and allowing four walks and three hits.
Adrian scored the only run of the game in the first inning when Jake Diekmann drove in Jacob Diekmann with a double.
Brent Wiering, Brandon Kerr and Madsen each had a hit for RTR in the loss.
The Knights (1-3 overall) will try to rebound Thursday with a Camden Conference game against MACCRAY.

Wabasso's Dirk Pistulka had three singles and an RBI, and Caleb Salfer added two hits and an RBI in the Rabbits' 7-1 Tomahawk Conference victory over Sleepy Eye Friday in Milroy.
On the mound, Neil Eichten struck out four in a complete-game victory for Wabasso, which improves to 3-1 in the Tomahawk (3-1 overall).
The Rabbits are back on the field today in a doubleheader against Springfield.

Brandon Grund led Yellow Medicine East with a 5-for-6 outing with two RBIs and a run scored to put the Sting past Minnewaska for a 12-3 win Friday in Glenwood.
On the mound, Austin Thorstad went five innings for the Sting (1-1 West Central, 3-2 overall), striking out four in the victory.

Four unearned runs on six Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove errors proved to be the difference in a 7-3 Redwood Valley win Friday in a non-conference game in Redwood Falls.
Colin Bailey hit a home run for the Cardinals, while Jordan Ford, Beau Stough and Austin Kretsch each hit a double to power the Redwood Valley offense.
Brady Bierl took the loss for RRC/WWG, pitching all seven innings. He gave up seven hits, struck out five batters and surrendered a pair of walks while allowing seven runs (three earned).
Daniel Maras went 2-for-2 for the Falcons, and Dylan Bunting went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
RRC/WWG drops to 5-2 after the loss and will take on Lakeview Monday in a non-conference game in Westbrook.

Trailing 14-11 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton scored four runs, including a single by Jenna Stoneberg that scored Galiya Bitton for the game-winning run, in a 15-14 non-conference victory at Tracy.
Along with driving in the game-winning run, Stoneberg went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and a double. Bitton drove in four runs on two hits for the Panthers (5-1 overall).
The Falcons (1-6) got three-hit performances from Klarissa Larsen, Katie Larsen and Angela Hannemann.
RRC/WWG heads to Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin, while TMB hosts Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Tuesday.

Minneota/Canby/Lincoln HI got off to a fast start Friday with three runs in the first inning en route to a 6-2 win over Adrian Area in a non-conference game in Adrian.
Kelsea Tolk earned a complete-game win for the Vikings. She gave up two runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and no walks.
Ricki Kallhoff had a strong day at the plate for M/C/L, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Payton Boerboom went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Vikings, and Megan Regnier added a pair of singles.
The win moves M/C/L to 2-3 on the season.

WWG boys, TMB girls win
at Tracy
At Tracy Country Club on Friday, the Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys and the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton girls won in a meet between the Chargers and Panthers.
In the boys' meet, Taylor Lindaman took medalist honors for WWG, helping the team to a score of 177. Nick Lehnhoff carded a 43 and Reed Bakken followed with a 44 for the Chargers. Mike Nilius led TMB with a 48.
In the girls' meet, the Panthers' Morgan Benson was the medalist after a round of 51. Anna Pommier and Annika Anderson shot 52s for TMB. Paige Erickson shot the low round for the Chargers with a 52.

MCC boys win triangular
on Tuesday
The Murray County Central boys golf team won a triangular and the Rebel girls won a dual in Red Rock Conference competition on Tuesday in Adrian.
The MCC boys took first with a team score of 174, finishing ahead of Hills-Beaver Creek (185) and Adrian (191). MCC's Grant Everson shot the low round of the day with his 39. Devin Erickson added a 40 to help the Rebels take top honors.
The MCC girls shot a 206 to defeat Adrian by 14 strokes. Haleigh Clarke led the Rebels with a round of 50 and Hannah Davis fired a 51.
