ORDINANCE NUMBER 652, SECOND SERIES

AN ORDINANCE REDEFINING WARD BOUNDARIES

AND ELECTION PRECINCT BOUNDARIES WITHIN

THE CITY OF MARSHALL, MINNESOTA

The Common Council of the City of Marshall does ordain as follows:

Section 1. Sections 262, 26-3, and 26-4 of the City Code

of Ordinances of the City of Marshall establishing wards and election precincts are hereby amended to read in their entirety as follows:

Sec. 26-2. Ward one, precinct one.

Ward one, precinct one boundaries shall be as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of West College Drive and Saratoga Street; thence southeasterly on South Saratoga Street to East Southview Drive; thence easterly along East Southview Drive to East Main Street; thence southeasterly along East Main Street (T.H. 59) to Windstar Street; thence easterly along Windstar Street to the east city limits line; thence northerly along said city limits line to North Bruce Street; thence southerly along North Bruce Street to East College Drive; thence continuing on South Bruce Street to Charles Avenue; thence westerly along Charles Avenue to South Hill Street; thence southerly on South Hill Street to East Marshall Street; thence westerly along East Marshall Street to the Redwood River; thence southwesterly along said river to East Redwood Street; thence northwesterly along East Redwood Street to North 1st Street; thence northeasterly along North 1st Street to West Marshall Street; thence northwesterly along West Marshall Street to East College Drive; thence southwesterly along College Drive to the point of beginning.

Sec. 26-3. Ward two, precinct one.

Ward two, precinct two boundaries shall be as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of West College Drive and Saratoga Street; thence southeasterly on South Saratoga Street to East Southview Drive; thence easterly along East Southview Drive to East Main Street; thence southeasterly along East Main Street (T.H. 59) to Windstar Street; thence continuing along East Main Street (T.H. 59) to the south city limits line; thence westerly along said city limits line to the intersection of T.H. 23 and Country Club Drive; thence northeasterly along Country Club Drive to West College Drive; thence continuing northeasterly along West College Drive to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom the portion of property outside the city limits between Country Club Drive and Travis Road.

Sec. 26-4. Ward three, precinct one.

Ward three, precinct three boundaries shall be as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of West College Drive and Saratoga Street; thence southwesterly along West College Drive to the intersection with Country Club Drive; thence continuing southwesterly along Country Club Drive to the south rightofway line of T.H. 23 at

the intersection of Country Club Drive and T.H. 23, said point being located on the south city limits line; thence westerly, northerly, and easterly along said city limits line to North Bruce Street; thence southerly along North Bruce Street to East College Drive; thence continuing on South Bruce Street to Charles Avenue; thence westerly along Charles Avenue to South Hill Street; thence southerly on South Hill Street to East Marshall Street; thence westerly along East Marshall Street to the Redwood River; thence southwesterly along said river to East Redwood Street; thence northwesterly along East Redwood Street to North 1st Street; thence northeasterly along North 1st Street to West Marshall Street; thence northwesterly along West Marshall Street to East College Drive; thence southwesterly along College Drive to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom the area outside of the current city limits located north of T.H. 23 and west of CSAH 7 (Airport Road).

Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.
