Skogrand earns CLU designation
Cory Ann Skogrand, a financial adviser with Van der Hagen, Skogrand & Associates, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation from The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Candidates for the CLU designation must complete a minimum of eight courses and 16 hours of supervised examinations. They must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements. Once the program is completed, a chartered life underwriter can provide advice on a broad range of financial topics including life and health insurance, pension planning, insurance law, income taxation, investments, financial and estate planning and group benefits.
This is the fourth designation Skogrand has earned, having earned the Certified Financial Planner practitioner designation in 2005 and Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 2007 and the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living designation in 2009. Skogrand has worked for Van der Hagen, Skogrand & Associates - Ameriprise Financial office in Marshall for 14 years.
