To the Editor:
On behalf of more than 35 property owners and/or managers of property, we would like to publicly acknowledge and thank Mayor Byrnes, Council members Ritter, Hulsizer, and Sanow for supporting a zero percent levy increase for 2012. This $4,806,667 levy will still result in an increase of less than 1 percent to commercial, non-homestead residential, and some residential property. But it will also result in most residential properties realizing a reduction of anywhere from 1 percent to -10 percent. When you see or have contact with these elected officials please thank them for supporting this levy and for keeping Marshall a progressive, vibrant community.
