To the editor:
After living on a busy corner since 1989, you think you have seen just about everything: people ruining your flowers just when they are ready to bloom, stealing hoses, taking your Christmas lights and draping them down Main Street on cars, and other unimaginable things, but imagine our surprise on Saturday morning to wake up and find our American flag stolen. We have a 20 ft. telescoping pole, which they had to bring down to take the flag. I know, my own fault, as I didn't have a lock on it. I will also put more screws on the shutters so they don't take them off our house.
I suppose someone woke up with a bad hangover wondering why an American flag was hanging on his X box.
Maybe we should just move to the country. There all we would have to worry about are the animals. It's sad that people don't have more respect for other people's property.
