To the editor:
I've known Darvy Ekness "Since Hector was a Pup." His beloved establishment, The Wooden Nickel, is the first stop for many of us Marshall natives who come home for the holidays.
We have the same fondness for the Nickel that Cliff and Norm have for Cheers. Because it truly is the place "Where Everybody Knows Your Name."
I look back at how many times Darvy's wonderful smile and laughter have welcomed me home. And when I walked in the Nickel I was home. It was time to rekindle old friendships.
