MARSHALL - Samantha Francine Meyer, 33, of Lynd pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 to charges of offering a forged check, court records said. Meyer offered a forged check in Marshall on June 11, court records said. Meyer was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 165 days stayed, pay an $800 fine and one year of probation, with conditions including serve 15 days in jail with credit for time served and good behavior, abide by laws, and have no contact with the victim in the case. Additional charges of theft and check forgery were dismissed.
MARSHALL - Michelle Marie Holliday, 30, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on charges of wrongfully obtaining assistance and perjury. Holliday failed to report a child no longer living with her between October 2010 and March 2011, resulting in overpayment of benefits totaling more than $3,000, a complaint alleges. A hearing was set for Oct. 11.
MARSHALL - Casie Jo Munson, 27, of Walnut Grove appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on two counts of second degree driving while impaired charges and open bottle charges. Munson drove while impaired in Lyon County on Aug. 27, and has two prior driver's license revocations for driving with an alcohol level of .08 or more, a complaint alleges. A hearing was set for Oct. 11.
MARSHALL - Alberto Cervantes Ledon, 20, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on charges of third degree criminal property damage and fourth degree criminal property damage. Ledon pushed over a parked motorcycle in Marshall on Aug. 27, causing damage to the motorcycle, a complaint alleges. A hearing was set for Oct. 11.
MARSHALL - Jennifer Marie Marthaler, 36, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on charges of financial transaction card fraud. Marthaler used credit cards to make unauthorized charges totaling more than $3,000 in Marshall between July 11 and Aug. 11, a complaint alleges. A hearing was set for Oct. 10.
MARSHALL - Thomas James Byrne, 50, of Ghent appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on charges of violating a restricted driver's license, two counts of fourth degree DWI charges and no insurance charges. Byrne drove with an alcohol level of .11 in Lyon County on June 17, a complaint alleges. Bail was set at $6,000 without conditions or $2,000 with conditions including abstain from alcohol and drugs, do not enter bars and liquor stores, and be subject to random testing. A hearing was set for Oct. 11.
MARSHALL - Nichole Leanne Radke, 32, of Marshall pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 to charges of issuing a dishonest check, court records said. Radke issued more than $1,000 in checks from an account with insufficient funds between July and December 2010, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing was set for Oct. 11.
MARSHALL - Jennifer Christine Pierce, 35, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 13 on charges of financial transaction card fraud. Pierce used another person's debit card to make more than $1,000 in purchases in Marshall on June 24, a complaint alleges. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for Oct. 11.
