HUTCHINSON - Jessica VandeSteeg and Shawn Labat announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Larry and Jodi VandeSteeg of Willmar and Larry and LaVonne Labat of Green Valley and Joe and Carol Nelson of Marshall. VandeSteeg is a 2006 Willmar High School graduate. She is employed at Runnings of Hutchinson and attending Penn Foster School of Veterinary Medicine. Labat is a 2001 Marshall High School graduate. He attended Alexandria Technical School and is employed by Frito-Lay in Hutchinson. A Sept. 10, 2011, wedding is planned at Games Lake in New London.
