April 16, 2011

MARSHALL - The Marshall Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place at a Marshall home Thursday night. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible for the robbery, Marshall Police said.

At about 11:20 p.m. Thursday, Police responded to a report of a robbery on Carrow Circle. Three male suspects with weapons entered the victim's residence. Sergeant Paula Curry of the Marshall Police Department said the suspects are black and probably in their early 20s, but said a more detailed physical description could not be given at this time.

The victim reported being restrained by one of the suspects, but was not injured, Marshall Police said. Some items of personal property were taken from the victim.

Curry said the robbers were not known by the victim. "At this point, it appears to be random," Curry said of the incident. However, the investigation is ongoing.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the suspects' arrest and conviction. People with information are asked to contact the Marshall Police Department at 537-7000.
