Holy Redeemer Church
We want to share with you some of the things that are going on in Marshall and the surrounding area relative to connecting with the young adults in our faith communities. When we say young adults, we are talking about people between the ages of 18 to 39 years old.
Young adults who are in the mainstream of life, either just connecting with the world around them with new jobs, new location, new friends and new opportunities, or young adults who are starting to, or who have children creating a totally new situation in life for them. Young adults who are looking for the grounding that so often is missing when totally new things happen or come into their life.
St. John's Theology Seminar staff members will come to the Campus Religious Center, 1418 State St., in Marshall from 9 a.m.-noon April 16 to lead a discussion titled: "Call and Response: Young Adults and the Church."
It will be an opportunity for members of all faiths, and all ages to join together and input regarding our young adults, the largest inactive group in today's church. How can our congregations become welcoming places for young adults? How can our congregations incorporate young adults into its mission and tradition? We invite you to join in thinking creatively about how to engage new generations in the life of the church.
