Donnelly receives award

Paige Donnelly recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Minnesota Association for Justice. The award is given infrequently and only to recipients whose body of legal work epitomizes the pursuit of justice in the state. Donnelly, who has served clients in the Marshall area, is recognized for his passion for helping injured people, his willingness to go to trial, and for his exceptional success at trial.

New internist/pediatrician to join ACMC-Marshall Market Street

Affiliated Community Medical Center is pleased to announce that Timothy Michals, M.D., a specialist in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds), will begin practicing at ACMC-Marshall Market Street in July 2011. As a "Med-Peds" doctor, Dr. Michals has trained in both specialties of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Such training allows him to treat all age groups including infants, children, adolescents and adults.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, Dr. Michals earned his Medical Degree in 2007 from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, The Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He is currently completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, Illinois.

Dr. Michals is married to ACMC Physician Assistant Stephanie McKee and is looking forward to joining her and their young son Josh and their new baby, due in February, in the Marshall community.

Dr. Michals will join ACMC's team of 22 healthcare providers currently located in Marshall.

The addition of Dr. Michals will expand access to the full range of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics health services currently offered through ACMC for residents of Marshall and the surrounding communities.

UCare to have information meetings about UCare for Seniors Medicare Advantage plan

UCare will have informational meetings about its UCare for Seniors Medicare Advantage plan. Members of UCare's sales staff will discuss the 2011 UCare for Seniors Classic, Value Plus, Standard D, and Value plans.
