Carter receives piano award

Katie Carter, a Marshall High School senior, has been presented with the Outstanding Piano/Organ Student award. She is the daughter of Mike and Sherry Carter of Marshall. She has studied with Wayne Ivers, Chad Pryzmus and Pamela Haukom. Carter is active in the Marshall Tiger marching band, jazz band, drumline and Tiger Pride.

National FFA scholarship awarded to local student

The National FFA Organization awarded a $1,000 Archer Daniels Midland Co. scholarship to Eric Vandendriessche of Marshall High School FFA. ADM, as a special project of the National FFA Foundation, sponsors the scholarship. Vandendriessche plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at North Dakota State University.

Verdoes accepted at MSU-Mankato

Kelsey Verdoes has been accepted for admission into Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The daughter of Al and Marlene Verdoes of Marshall, she is a Marshall High School graduate. Her planned major is sports management/health, fitness and sport science.
