SHASTA BLVD to perform Wednesday at First Lutheran

SHASTA BLVD will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church

SHASTA BLVD is a family group that was the 2009 finalist at the Club 3 Battle of the Bands; ranked in the top ten bands in Minneapolis/St. Paul; and has played at Sonshine & KTIS Joyful Noise Festival. Their blend of worship, blues, rock and roll made them a favorite at the SWMN Synod Youth Gathering in Willmar this fall, said a news release. The concert is free and open to the public. First Lutheran is located on 100 Church St in Marshall. For more information contact the church office at 532-2429.

Steven Roberts at Fire on the Prairie

Steven Roberts of Gateway Ministry Center in Northfield will be the guest minister tonight at Fire on the Prairie. Service begins at 7:30 p.m. with praise and worship.

Fire on the Prairie meets at the Clarkfield Municipal Building (City Hall), located at 904 Tenth Ave., Clarkfield.

For further information call 320-669-4402. There is no admission charge for the meeting. Child care is not provided.

Adoption open house Saturday at St. Stephen

Anyone interested in learning more about foster care and adoption can stop in at an informational open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 1301 S. 4th St. in Marshall.

Lincoln, Lyon and Murray Human Services staff, foster parents, and a representative from the Hispanic community will be on hand with literature and answers to questions.

Interested parties can attend to get information, with no obligation to follow through, though information on the licensing process will be available for those interested in taking the next step.

The event is sponsored by Lincoln, Lyon and Murray Human Service in conjunction with area places of worship.

Homeschooler meeting April 27 at CRC

Information night for prospective homeschoolers will be presented by CHARISM and MACHEA and local homeschool support groups will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the Campus Religious Center in Marshall.
