Enviro Pump-Plus wins classy truck of the year contest
Enviro Pump-Plus, Inc. of Balaton was recently recognized as the winner of the "2009 Classy Truck of the Year" contest held by Cole Publishing, which publishes the liquid waste industry's "Pumper" magazine.
"We have always thought our truck was not only sharp-looking but also functional for everyday use. It was an honor to be recognized by our industry peers," said Glenn Larson, president of Enviro Pump-Plus, Inc.
The company's truck is a 2004 Kenworth former milk truck that Advance Pump & Equipment in Peosta, Iowa, rebuilt into a do-it-all vacuum truck. The truck was first chosen as the December 2009 Classy Truck of the Month for the "Pumper" magazine after Larson submitted the photo for consideration in the monthly contest. The "2009 Classy Truck of the Year" contest then included each of the 12 monthly Classy Truck Winners for 2009. Voting was done through polling readers and a panel of Cole Publishing judges.
As part of the recognition, Enviro Pump-Plus, Inc. was featured on the cover of the February 2010 issue of "Pumper." This also happened to be the 2010 Expo Show issue for the Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International tradeshow Cole Publishing holds each year.
