CDA spring luncheons planned
The Slayton Catholic Daughters will sponsor a luncheon each Thursday during Lent beginning Feb. 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. at St. Ann's Church Hall, Slayton. The menu includes sandwiches, salads, and homemade pie. Carryouts are available by calling 507 836-8030. March 25's luncheon features baked ham sandwiches.
Christ United gets grant
Christ United Presbyterian Church of Marshall has been awarded a two-year, $29,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation for the purposes of the Parish Health Program. The program will use this money to continue the current services to Christ United Presbyterian, Grace First Parish in Russell, Ashford Presbyterian of Milroy, and others in the community. The program seeks to reach out to those who cannot get to church, have specific need of advocacy, referral, health education, and/or physical, psychological and spiritual support.
