BALATON - Services Lawrence William Wichmann, 94, of Balaton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Balaton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the Almlie Funeral Home in Balaton with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Balaton. The Almlie Funeral Home of Balaton is in charge of the arrangements.

He died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1915, to Albert and Augusta (Stibbe) Wichmann in Balaton, Lyon County.

Survivors include his wife Elenora of Balaton; sons, Lynn of Balaton, Lyle of North Mankato, and Lowell of Balaton; daughter, Ruth Ann Johnson of Okabena; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
