TRACY - Services for James "JB" Lindstrom, 81, of Tracy will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A private family burial will be at a later date. Military honors will be provided by the Tracy American Legion. The Tracy Area Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at the Sanford Hospital in Tracy.
He was born June 17, 1928, in Tracy, to Oscar and Mary (French) Lindstrom.
He entered the U.S. Army Sept. 28, 1946. He was stationed at Fort Sheridan and Fort Bragg before serving in Japan until he received his honorable discharge Jan. 15, 1948.
Survivors include his children: Susan Roepke of Willmar, Loren of Tracy, Gail of New York City, John of Belgrade, Anita Runik of Vero Beach, Fla., Julie Garcia of San Pablo, Calif., and Jay of Willmar; three grandchildren; siblings: Joyce Cooper of Tracy and Joanne McCalley of Rossville, Ga.; and three stepchildren.
