MARSHALL - Larry Duane Siekmann, 57, of Russell pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Nov. 18 to a charge of refusal to test. Siekmann refused an alcohol test on Sept. 23 in Lyon County, court records said. A related charge was dismissed. Siekemann was sentenced to one year in jail with 350 days stayed and placed on up to two years of probation. Siekmann must serve 15 days, have a chemical use assessment, submit to random testing and other conditions.

MARSHALL - Maria Isabel Ramos, 19, of St. Paul appeared in Lyon County District Court in a probation violation hearing. Ramos denied violating her probation. Ramos violated her probation by failing to abstain from alcohol, abide by an assessment, failing to pay what she owes and failing to remain law abiding, probation alleges. Ramos was released without bail on conditions including reappear in court, report any address change and obey laws. A public defender was appointed. A hearing was set for Dec. 15.

MARSHALL - Kelly Joseph Johns, 44, of Cottonwood appeared in Lyon County District Court Nov. 20 in a probation violation hearing. Johns denied violating his probation. Johnson violated his probation by failing to follow the recommendations of a chemical use assessment, probation alleges. Johns was released without bail on the conditions including reappear in court, abstain from alcohol and drugs and obey laws. A hearing was set for Dec. 15.

MARSHALL - Darren Ross Serreyn, 20, of Lynd pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Nov,. 24 to a charge of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree-liability for crimes of another. Serreyn and an accomplice sold about a half ounce of a marijuana for $200 on Nov. 12, 2008 in Marshall, court records said. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

MARSHALL - Gregorio Chaco Lopez, 37, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Nov. 24 on charges of controlled substance crime in the first and third degree, possession of a small amount of marijuana and posessesion of drug paraphernalia. Lopez sold about 15 grams of cocaine for $1,200 on June 4 and 13 and sold about one gram of cocaine for $100 on Oct. 12 in Marshall and possess a small amount of a marijuana and drug pipe on Oct. 12, the complaint alleges. The court found probable cause for the charges. A plea hearing was set for Dec. 22.

MARSHALL - Daniel Scott Bauer, 25, of Marshall admitted in Lyon County District Court violating his probation. Bauer violated his probation by failing to abstain from alcohol and drugs, court records said. Bauer was reinstated on probation and must serve an additional 10 days in jail and follow other conditions.
