MARSHALL - The Schwan Food Co. will sell its call centers in Marshall and Lake Wilson to Customer Elation of Bloomington. The sale is effective Tuesday.
The new owner will retain the 210 jobs in Marshall and Lake Wilson, Customer Elation President Pete Hainey said.
"The pay tomorrow will be the same as it is today," Hainey said.
The employees will be fully vested with the new company, Hainey said.
The call centers have 47 full-time managers and 105 full-time employees with the remainder as part-time employees, Hainey said.
Customer Elation bought the buildings and will continue to provide call center services for Schwan.
The sale was not financially motivated but was motivated by Schwan's desire to partner with a company that could enhance customer service and allow Schwan to focus on its core business of frozen food manufacturing and related services, Brian Sattler, executive vice president of administration and general counsel for Schwan said.
Customer Elation provides call center service for United Health, Starbuck's and other companies, Hainey said.
Company officials did not disclose the terms of the sale but did say it was important to Schwan to retain the jobs in Marshall and Lake Wilson.
