An event involving Charles Darwin's Origin of Species is planned for 7-9 p.m. today in the main area of the upstairs at the Southwest Minnesota State University Student Center. The event is sponsored by the Change Collegian Network at SMSU.

Sponsors said there will be a town hall style discussion; all views on the Origin of Species will be accorded equal time and respect due. The first 100 audience members will be given a special, unabridged anniversary copy of the Origin of Species, sponsors said.

The event is open to the public and SMSU science professors and students have received a special invitation, sponsors said.
