WOOD LAKE - Services for Merl Phinney, 87, of Wood Lake, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Rock Valle Lutheran Church rural Echo. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday in the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continue Friday one hour prior to services in the Rock Valle Lutheran Church.
He died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Granite Falls Hospital.
Merl Lee Phinney was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Wood Lake Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Clarence and Amelia (Keller) Phinney.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; three children, Leanne Phinney of St. Paul, Janice Phinney of St. Paul and Jay of Minneapolis.
