BELVIEW - Services for the Rev. Arthur R. Berthelsen, 77, of Belview, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continue Tuesday one hour prior to services in the Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for Grace Lutheran Church; Green Lake Lutheran Ministries; Parkview Nursing Home or Redwood County Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by the Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso.
He died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, in Parkview Home in Belview
He was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Oshkosh, Wis., to the Rev. Holger and Clara Rehwald Berthelsen.
He entered the United States Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956.
Survivors include his wife Rose Marie Berthelsen; children Mike Berthelsen of Northfield, Mark Berthelsen of St. Paul and Beth Jahn of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; his sister Priscilla Gunnarson of Rochester, and their sons Todd and Jay with their families.
