MARSHALL - Syrome James Phylip Moos, 23, of Marshall appeared in custody in Lyon County District Court Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 on two counts of domestic assault and a charge of false imprisonment with aggravating related convictions. Moos pushed, argued and kept a victim in an apartment on Sept. 2 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Bail was set at $10,000 with no conditions and $5,000 with conditions he reappear in court, be of good behavior and others. On Sept. 15, a hearing was set for Oct. 13.
MARSHALL - Stephen John Timmerman, 31, of Ghent did not appear in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 because he had posted bail. The court recalled a warrant. Timmerman is charged with assault in the fourth degree, obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct. Timmerman resisted two deputies and kicked one deputy on Aug. 30 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Timmerman's lawyer Joel Solie and Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers.
MARSHALL - Darryl Eugene Rekowski, 43, of Little Falls pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 to four counts of criminal vehicular injury, two counts of fourth degree driving while impaired, two counts of hit and run and a charge of violation of a restricted driver's license. Rekowski drove while impaired with alcohol in violation of his license and ran over a victim which injured the victim and did not report the incident to police on April 28 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A jury trial was set for Dec. 16, 17 and 18.
MARSHALL - Anna Ruth Hilbert, 21, of Willmar appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 on a charge of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree-liability for crimes of another. Hilbert arranged for the sale of marijuana by a friend to a third party on Nov. 12 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Hilbert's lawyer Cecil Naatz filed papers. A hearing was set for Oct. 13.
MARSHALL - Kyle Brian Anderson, 25, of Lynd appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 on two counts of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree. Anderson sold one ounce of a marijuana for $325 on July 24, 2008, in Marshall and sold a half ounce of marijuana for $170 on Sept. 5, 2008, in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Anderson's lawyer Gregg Solomon filed papers.
MARSHALL - Douglas Henry Janiszeski, 51, of Minneota appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 on charges of third degree driving while impaired-test refusal, fourth degree DWI and open bottle. Janiszeski refused an alcohol test, allowed a passenger to have an open beer in the vehicle and drove under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 27 in Minneota, the complaint alleges. Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer and Janiszeski's lawyer Joel Solie had filed papers. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 13.
MARSHALL - Edgar Andres Zuniga, 27, of Hanley Falls pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 to a charge of forgery and was sentenced on Sept. 22. Zuniga used an assumed name to obtain employment form May 2006 to Aug. 6, 2009, court records said. Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes said ICE has a hold on Zuniga. On Sept. 22, Zuniga received a stay of imposition on a sentence and was placed on supervised probation for up to three years. Zuniga must serve 60 days, surrender his documents, if deported he must report to authorities when he returns and he must follow other conditions.
MARSHALL - Nicholas James Berry, 28, of Morton was sentenced in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 on a charge of controlled substance crime in the second degree-liability for crimes of another. Berry was sentenced to 78 months in prison, was fined $100 and must follow other conditions.
MARSHALL - Trevor Mason Hemish, 20, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 14 on charges of refusal to submit to test, fourth degree driving while impaired, underage drinking and driving and minor consumption. Hemish drove under the influence of alcohol and refused an alcohol test on Sept. 11 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Joel Solie was appointed Hemish's lawyer. Bail with no conditions was set at $6,000. Hemish can also be released on no bail on the conditions he reappear in court, obey laws and others. A hearing was set for Sept. 29.
MARSHALL - Jolene Carmel Goblish, 46, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 15 on charges of first degree driving while impaired with the aggravating factor of prior DWIs in 2002 and 2000, violation of restricted driver's license in one file and charges of aiding an offender in a second file. Goblish drove under the influence of methamphetamine on Jan. 6 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. In the second file, Goblish assisted a suspect in hiding from police on May 9 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Lyon County Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers and Goblish's lawyer Kevin Sieben was to file within a week. A hearing was set for Oct. 27. Goblish waived her court time line.
MARSHALL - Henry Omar Ramirez-Lopez, 39, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 14 on charges of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, assault in the third degree, domestic assault by strangulation, false imprisonment and giving false name to police. Ramirez-Lopez sexually assaulted a victim, choked and hit a victim and preventing a victim from leaving an apartment in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Ramirez-Lopez also gave police a false name, the complaint alleges. Stephen Ferrazzano was appointed his lawyer. A hearing was set for Sept. 29. Bail with no conditions was set at $45,0000. Bail of $25,000 with conditions including reappear, submit to random testing, abstain from alcohol and drugs and obey all laws was also set.
