MARSHALL - Services for Carl Tengdin, 88, of Marshall, formerly of St. James City, Fla., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall with burial at a later date. There will be no visitation before the service.

He died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at the Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.

He was born June 18, 1921, in Joliet, Ill., to Carl B. and Esther (Larson) Tengdin. He served as a civilian flight instructor for the United States Air Corps during WWII and served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his children, son Terry of Buckley, Mich., daughter Jane Oster of Marshall; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
