SLAYTON - Services for Rena Bondhus, 96, of Slayton are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church Slayton. Burial is at the Holland City Cemetery, Holland. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.

She died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at the Golden Living Center-Slayton.

She was born June 5, 1913, in Ocheyedan, Iowa, to Reinder and Antje (Kuperus) Bosma.

Survivors include her children Ruegena Vander Syde of Rockford, Mich., Irvin Baker of Ripon, Calif., Lloyd Baker of Ashton, Iowa, Ardys Manzey of Trimont, Leon Baker of Appleton, Wis., and Norman Baker of Revere; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister Tena Huizinga of Visalia, Calif.
