Finalists named for library director
The former director is on the list of finalists for the position of director of the Marshall-Lyon County Library.
The finalists are former director Richard MacDonald, Robert E. Hafeman and Joe Gunter, library board president Kathleen Ashe said Tuesday.
MacDonald was the director before Wendy Wendt. Wendt resigned this summer.
Hafeman is the interim director of the Manitowoc-Calumet Library System in Wisconsin. The system is a cooperative of six libraries, the system Web site said.
Joe Gunter was most recently the director of the La Vergne, Tenn., library. Gunter was the city's librarian from Jan. 24, 2008, to March 10, 2009, the city's human resource director Kathi Payne said.
Ashe said at last week's library board meeting the plan is to have the finalists interview in Marshall and meet with various city and community members.
Lu Anderson, the library's financial manager, said Wednesday the interview dates should be set today.
