LAKE BENTON - Services for Ralph Benedict Marti, 86, of Moorhead, formerly of Lake Benton, are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Memorial Hill Cemetery in Lake Benton. Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel in Lake Benton is providing the arrangements.

He died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.

He was born July 16, 1923, to Roy and Grace (Soderlind) Marti in Tyler. He entered the United States Army during WWII and spent time serving in Okinawa, Japan.

Survivors include his daughter, Maribeth Plankers of Moorhead; two grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Carr of Lake Benton.
