AVOCA - Services for Darwin L. Vosberg, 72, of Avoca, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A private family burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Dovray. The Almlie Funeral Home of Westbrook is handling the arrangements. .

He died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was born Oct. 10, 1936, to Edward and LuVella (Buss) Vosberg in Dovray Township. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Feb. 17, 1954, and served until Feb. 4, 1958, as a Military Policeman in Munich, Germany.

Survivors include his wife Alice Vosberg; children: Greg Vosberg of Tracy, Dean Vosberg of Princeton and Rhonda Busswitz of Rosemount; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters LaVonne Dugan of Forest Grove, Ore., Beverly Kerr, of Sioux Falls and Barbara Goltz of Walnut Grove, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
