Naked man kicks car at intersection
LYON COUNTY - A naked man ran to a passing car and started to kick the car's windshield and do other damage while the driver was inside Wednesday near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and 4th Street in Marshall, said Sgt. Todd Roelfsema of the Lyon County Sheriff's Department.
"This was quite unusual," Roelfsema said of the incident.
The complainant recognized the suspect but the incident does not appear to be targeted at the complainant, Roelfsema said. "There really is no connection, (between the suspect and complainant)," Roelfsema said.
"The (complainant) on the phone was frantic while calling 911," Roelfsema said.
It appears the suspect ran from near well houses along a Lyon County Road near the intersection of Highway 23 and 4th Street, Roelfsema said. The complainant was traveling in his car on the gravel county road when the suspect ran to the car and began to "beat on it," Roelfsema said.
Officers from the Marshall Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Sheriff's Department all responded to the 911 call.
The suspect was transported by ambulance to the Marshall hospital. Roelfsema said the suspect may have had mental health or possible drug or alcohol conditions. No arrests have been made, Roelfsema said.
