Zimmermann throws shutout, Yankees win 11-0

Mahlon Zimmermann pitched a complete game shutout on Wednesday night to lead the Milroy Yankees to a 11-0 win over Willmar.

Zimmermann threw all seven giving up no runs on two hits with two walks and eight strike outs.

The Yankees combined for 10 hits with Micah Gronli leading the way going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Andy Schmidt was 2-for-4, Bart Dolan was 1-for-2 with three RBI and Nathan Deutz had two RBI.

The Yankees improve to 12-1 in the Cornbelt and 18-3 on the season. Milroy will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Jackson.

Raymond 12, Marshall 0

The Marshall A's, despite their nine hits, couldn't plate a run falling 12-0 to Raymond on Wednesday night on the road.

Chace Pollock took the loss going four innings allowing three runs on five hits with one walk and three strike outs.

Derek Salisbury was 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the A's. Nate Koppi was 2-for-3 and Pollock was 2-for-3.

Marshall falls to 9-4 on the season and will be back in action on Friday night when they host Coon Rapids at Legion Field in Marshall at 8 p.m.

Adrian 5, Hadley 4

Despite a two run ninth, the Hadley Buttermakers couldn't make a full comeback and fell 5-4 to Adrian on Wednesday night on the road.

Max Zwart allowed five runs, four earned on four hits with two strike outs in four innings of work for Hadley. Zach Bruns entered in the fifth and held Adrian scoreless to close out the game with four strike outs.

Bruns was 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored. Luke Beers was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Joe Larson was 2-for-5 with one RBI.

Hadley drops to 8-3 overall and will be back in action on Sunday as they host the Southeast Barnstormers and the Tracy Express.

St. James 7, Lamberton 3

St. James used 13 hits to plate seven runs and take down the Lamberton Long Sox 7-3 on Wednesday night in St. James.

Tyler Reiner took the loss going five innings allowing five runs on 10 hits with two walks and three strike outs.

Mike Samyn led the way at the plate going 2-for-3 with one RBI. Isaac Jenniges was 2-for-4 and Matt Knakmuhs had a double.

Lamberton drops to 14-5-1 overall and 10-4 in the Tomahawk. The Long Sox will be back in action on Saturday when they host Gibbon for a doubleheader slated to start at 2 p.m.
