Yankees lack hits, fall 3-2Atwater 3, Milroy 2
The Milroy Yankees lose late-inning heartbreaker on Sunday as they traveled to take on Atwater. The Yankees had the game tied up at 2-all, before Michael Malvin ripped a game winning hit in the bottom of the ninth.
The Yankees only mustered three hits in the 3-2 loss, with a single come from Matt Bauer and Eric Dolan and a solo home run from catcher Justin Schlemmer.
Mahlon Zimmermann took the loss on the mound for Milroy. Zimmermann went the distance allowing three runs on eight hits with four walks and six strike outs.
Luke Wallace led the way at the plate for Atwater going 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI.
The Yankees drop to 10-3 on the season and 7-1 in the Cornbelt. Milroy will be back in action on Thursday when they host Tracy.

Tracy 4, Mountain Lake 0
The Tracy Express picked up a 4-0 win on Sunday as they hit the road to take on Mountain Lake. Kyle Mathiowetz threw a complete game, shutout to pick up the win for Tracy.
"Mathiowetz pitched very well," Tracy manager Aaron Ziemer said. "He was phenomenal for us it was his best start for us by far."
Mathiowetz went the distance allowing no runs on three hit with nine strike outs and one walk.
Aaron Walling was 2-for-5 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. Jason MacKinnon was 1-for-4 with one RBI. Eric Hendrickx was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
The Express improve to 6-6-1 on the season and will travel to Raymond on Wednesday.

Searles 3, Lamberton 2
The Lamberton Long Sox scored too little, too late and were unable to complete an eighth inning rally as they fell to Searles 3-2 on Sunday.
Lamberton jumped out to an early lead plating one run in the top half of the first inning, but that would be the Long Sox only run until they scored one in the top half of the eighth.
Jake Wahl took the loss on the mound going six innings, allowing three runs, all earned on five hits with eight walks and four strike outs in six innings of work.
Matt Samyn, Tyler Reiner and Landon Erickson each went 2-for-4 at the plate for Lamberton. Derrick Jeniges and Colby Pack each had doubles.
The Long Sox whose game on Saturday against Sacred Heart was rained out, fell to 8-4-1 on the season. Lamberton will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Marshall A's.

Hadley 4, Luverne 1
In Hadley's first game of a two-team doubleheader on Sunday, the Buttermakers took down Luverne 4-1.
Paul Counter picked up the win on the mound going six innings, allowing one run, earned on five hits with two walks and seven strike outs. Zach Bruns picked up the save, entering in the seventh and setting the side down in order, striking out two out of the three hitters.
Matt Ackerman led the way at the plate for Hadley hitting a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh. Luke Beers had a single and a RBI.
Hadley's second game against the Marshall A's was rained out after the second inning, there will be no make up game.
