Jenniges fans seven, goes distance to lead Long Sox to 5-3 victoryDerrick Jenniges went the distance and held Hanska to three runs over nine innings of work for the Lamberton Long Sox.
The Long Sox picked up the 5-3 win as Jenniges allowed three runs, all earned on five hits with five strike outs and three walks.
Colby Pack led the way at the plate going 2-for-3. Matt Suess had the sole extra base hit of the game for Hanska.
The Long Sox improves to 5-1-1 on the season and will take on the Milroy Yankees on Thursday in Lamberton.

Adam Fozlien went the distance for the Benson Braves on Saturday as they took down the Canby Knights 5-2.
Tony Ross took the loss for the Knights going six innings allowing three runs, all earned on seven hits with four strike outs and three walks. Tyler Mickelson led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 with a double. Peter Haugen was 2-for-3 with an RBI-single.
The Knights fall to 0-2 on the season and will host Rosen on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Milroy 13, Bird Island 4
The Milroy Yankees took care of Bird Island quite handedly on Sunday in Milroy. The Yankees used a six-run second inning to take down Bird Island 13-4.
Anthony Rohlik picked up the win going six innings. Rohlik allowed two runs, both earned on seven hits with seven strike outs and one walk.
Matt Bauer led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI. Dean Zwach was 2-for-5 with an RBI and Andy Williamson was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
The Yankees improve to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the Cornbelt. Milroy will be back in action on Thursday when they head to Lamberton for a 7:30 p.m. match-up.

The Hadley Buttermakers scored nine with three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to take down the Minneota Mudhens 9-3 on Monday in Hadley.
Chris Haken picked up the win on the mound for Hadley as Zach Bruns picked up the save. Matt Ackerman led the Buttermakers at the plate going 3-for-3 with three doubles and four RBI. Bruns was 3-for-4 with three runs and Paul Counter was 3-for-5 with four runs scored.
Aaron Sanow was 3-for-4 with one RBI to lead Minneota. Pat O'Brien and Justin Greenwood each had singles for the Mudhens.
Hadley improves to 2-0 and will take on Spencer, Iowa and the Milroy Irish at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in Hadley.
