Rebels use big inning to win 8-2The Murray County Central Rebels broke open their game against the Pipestone Area Arrows with a five-run fifth inning to win 8-2 Friday.
Eric Wieneke picked up the win for the Rebels (4-1), going four innings and allowing one hit and two unearned runs. Sean Solheim went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and one RBI.
For the Arrows (2-2), Jon Schelhaas took the loss, giving up four hits in six innings. Sam Bauer hit a double and drove in one run.
MCC hosts Adrian on Monday, while Pipestone Area travels to Jackson County Central today.

The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights picked up their second win of the season Friday with a 4-2 victory over the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks in Camden Conference baseball.
Jason Minett pitched a complete game four-hitter for the Knights (2-1, 1-1 Camden) while striking out eight and walking two. Minett also went 2-for-3 with two RBI from the plate.
For the Blackjacks (0-4, 0-3 Camden), Donald Hermanson took the loss after coming in with the game tied in the seventh inning. Derek Gitmaker pitched the first six innings, striking out five and walking three. Hermanson went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
RTR hosts Adrian today, while Dawson-Boyd travels to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Monday.

Derek Dyrdahl went 2-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Yellow Medicine East Sting to a 10-5 win over the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints Friday.
Travis Enger picked up the win in relief for the Sting (2-1), striking out three and walking two. Hunter Lecy was 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Lee Keil took the loss for KMS (0-4), giving up three earned runs in two innings while walking eight and striking out one. Aaron Zimmer and Taylor Freetly each went 2-for-3 with a double.
YME will host Benson on Monday for a doubleheader, while KMS hosts Dawson-Boyd on Monday.

Three different Windom Area batters drove in four runs to lead the Eagles over the Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Falcons in a high-scoring matchup, winning 21-12.
Trevor Theesfeld went five innings to pick up the win for the Eagles (2-1), striking out five. Sam Fischenich, Charlie Dunnick and Ryan Gilbertson all had four RBI.
For the Falcons (1-5), Shane Schoborg took the loss, giving up seven runs in the first two innings, and later returned in the seventh. Joshua Merrick went 2-for-4 with four RBI, while Mason Comnick went 4-for-5 with three RBI.
RRC/WWG travels to BOLD on Monday, while Windom Area hosts Worthington today.

The Lakeview Lakers came back from a 2-1 deficit with seven runs in the sixth inning to top the Canby Lancers 8-2 in Camden Conference action.
Jeremy Labat picked up the win for the Lakers (3-1, 3-1 Camden), allowing two hits while striking out eight in five innings. Jory Bossuyt went 2-for-2 at the plate.
For the Lancers (1-2, 1-2 Camden), Brandon Kamrath took the loss. Trevor Citrowske hit a home run in the fourth inning, and finished 1-for-3 with one RBI in the game.
Lakeview will travel to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Monday, while Canby travels to Central Minnesota Christian on Monday.
