Courts for April 11-12

MARSHALL - Alexander Landis, 28, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Wednesday on charges of criminal sexual conduct in the third and fifth degree. Landis sexually assaulted a victim on April 6 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A public defender was to be appointed. Bail with no conditions was set at $75,000. Bail of $50,000 with conditions including reappear in court, do not leave the state and abstain from alcohol was also set. A hearing was set for April 21.

MARSHALL - Nicole Lee Knutson, 24, of Alexandria appeared in Lyon County District Court Wednesday in a probation violation hearing. Knutson violated probation by failing to serve 30 days, completing 200 hours of Sentence to Serve, failing to obey all laws and failing to maintain contact with probation. Bail was set at $10,000 with no conditions. Bail was also set at $500 on the conditions he reappear in court.

MARSHALL - George Washington Strickland, 44, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Wednesday on a charge of theft. Strickland stole a stainless steel watertank valued at about $7,100 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. A public defender was appointed. Strickland was released on conditions he be of good behavior, obey all laws and others. A hearing was set for April 28.

MARSHALL - Catie Sue Willard, 25, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Wednesday on charges of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. Willard allowed a person to keep marijuana and she possessed a drug pipe on Nov. 26 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A public defender was appointed. Willard was released on conditions he be of good behavior, obey all laws, abstain from alcohol and drugs and others. A hearing was set for April 21.

MARSHALL - Adam Wayne Rager, 23, of Lynd did not appear in Lyon County District Court Wednesday on a charge of driving while impaired-controlled substance with the aggravating factor of a prior DWI in 2008. Rager had driven after taking more than his prescribed medications on Dec. 4 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A warrant was issued for Rager's arrest.

MARSHALL - Alicia Reynaga, 44, of Marshall pleaded guilty In Lyon County District Court Tuesday to a charge of second degree driving while impaired-refusal to test. Reynaga refused an alcohol test on Dec. 15 in Marshall, court records said. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
