MARSHALL - Devin Shane Johnson, 22, of Mankato appeared in Lyon County District Court March 17 in a probation violation hearing. Johnson violated his probation by failing to abstain from alcohol and drugs, and failing to remain law abiding, probation alleges. Johnson's lawyer Lynn A. Johnson moved for a continuance and the court continued the hearing to March 31.
MARSHALL - Bobbi Jo Gail Nichols, 19, of Marshall pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court March 18 to a charge of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree. Nichols and an accomplice sold a 1/4 ounce for $160 in Marshall, court records said. The court ordered a pre-sentence. A sentencing hearing was set for April 21.
MARSHALL - Omar Gonzalez, 23, of Marshall pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court March 17 on charges of aggravated forgery and identity theft. Gonzales used the identity of another and signed papers using that identity to obtain employment from May 2007 to January 2009 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A jury trial was set for May 6.
MARSHALL - Rikki Lee Kor, 23, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court March 17 on charges of burglary in the first degree, assault in the fifth degree, violation of an order for protection. Kor entered a residence without consent, and assaulted a victim and slapped a second victim on March 3 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Kor's lawyer Joel Solie filed papers. Kor was released on prior conditions. An omnibus hearing was set for April 14.
MARSHALL - Ashleigh Jo Kraft, 20, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court March 16 in a probation violation hearing. Kraft admitted violating her probation. Kraft violated her probation by failing to keep her agent informed of her address and failing to obtain a chemical use assessment, court records said. Kraft was reinstated on probation and must serve 15 days in jail.
MARSHALL - Chad Jerome Renneke, 26, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court March 17 on two counts of third degree driving while impaired with the aggravating factor of a prior DWI in 2005. Renneke drove with a blood alcohol concentration of .17 in Jan. 17 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Renneke was released on prior conditions set by the court.
MARSHALL - Sherry Jane Smith, 45, of Gary, S.D., appeared in Lyon County District Court March 17 on a charge of issuance of a worthless check. Smith wrote a check for $373.30 Nov. 5 in Marshall that was returned as account closed, the complaint alleges. Marshall Assistant City Attorney Lori Buchheim and Smith's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers. A hearing was set for March 31.
MARSHALL - Elijah Michael Odom, 28, of Cottonwood appeared in Lyon County District Court March 17 on a charge of driving after cancelation-inimical to public safety. Odom drove with a canceled driver's license on Jan. 16 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers. Odom's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers. An omnibus hearing was set for April 14.
MARSHALL - Nicholas Michael Lozinski, 21, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court March 18 on charges of burglary in the second degree, trespass and criminal damage to property in the fourth degree-liability for crimes of another. Lozinski and an accomplice bent a window screen to enter a residence without consent and stole cigarettes on Aug. 31 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Stephen Ferrazzano was appointed Lozinski's lawyer. Bail with no conditions was set at $5,000. Lozinski can also be released on no bail on the conditions he reappear in court, be of good behavior and others.
MARSHALL - Robert William DeCrock, 29, of Minneota appeared in Lyon County District Court March 18 on a charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and two counts of third degree driving while impaired. DeCrock drove with an alcohol concentration of .29 and fled from deputies on a traffic stop on March 17 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. A hearing was set for March 31. Bail with no conditions was set at $5,000. DeCrock can also be released on no bail on the conditions he reappear in court, does not enter bars or liquor stores, pay for electronic home monitoring and others.
MARSHALL - Andrew Todd Haroldson, 18, of Marshall appeared in custody in Lyon County District Court March 20 on charges of burglary in the first degree, assault in the fifth degree and motor vehicle tampering, all with liability for crimes of another, and a charge of minor consumption. Haroldson and an accomplice entered a garage and vehicle without consent with the intent to commit a crime and punched two victims on March 19 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Haroldson also drank alcohol, the complaint alleges. A public defender was to be appointed. Bail with no conditions was set at $80,000. Bail with conditions including use no alcohol and have no contact with named individuals was set at $55,000. A hearing was for March 30.
MARSHALL - Andrew Donald Lanoye, 18, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court March 20 on charges of burglary in the first degree, assault in the fifth degree and motor vehicle tampering, all with liability for crimes of another and a charge of minor consumption. Lanoye and an accomplice entered a garage and vehicle without consent and intent to commit a crime and punched two victims March 19 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Lanoye also drank alcohol, the complaint alleges. Bail with no conditions was set at $70,000 and bail of $45,000 with conditions including reappear, have no contact with named people was also set. A hearing was set for March 30.
MARSHALL - Daniel James Michel, 19, of Tracy pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court March 16 to charges of third degree driving while impaired and no insurance. Michel drove with a blood alcohol concentration of .20 and with no insurance on Nov. 26 in Lyon County, court records said. Michel was sentenced to one year in jail on the DWI charge with 350 days stayed and was placed on supervised probation for up to two years. Michel must serve 15 days, pay a $1,000 fine, have a chemical use assessment and follow other conditions. On the insurance charge, Michel was sentenced to 90 days with 75 days stayed and was placed on one year of supervised probation. The probation and 15 days are to be served concurrently.
