MARSHALL - David Jose Swanson, 29, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 12 on a charge of driving after cancellation. Swanson drove with a canceled driver's in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Bail was set at $1,000 with no conditions and at $300 with conditions of reappear in court, do not leave the state without permission and others. A hearing was set for Jan. 26.
MARSHALL - Paul David Lightfoot, 55, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 13 on a charge of criminal damage to property in the first degree. Lightfoot caused about $1,600 in damage to car Nov. 23 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. The court will consider the issue if the $1,000 damage threshold had been reached. An omnibus hearing was set for Jan. 27.
MARSHALL - Jessica Grace Walters, 28, of Balaton did not appear because of weather in Lyon County District Court Jan. 13 on charges of second degree driving while impaired-refusal to test, second degree DWI, both with the aggravating factor of prior DWIs in 2005 and 2006 and stop or stand on highway. Walters refused an alcohol test, drove while impaired and stopped on the road on May 2 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. The hearing was continued to Feb. 10.
