December 4, 2008
7:00 p.m. Chairman Goodenow called the meeting to order Meeting was called to order.
Present: Commissioners Goodenow, Nelson, Ritter, Stensrud, and Also present County Administrator Loren Stomberg, County Assessor Dean Champine18 citizens.
Pledge of Allegiance
14 Reasons Property Taxes go up or Down Video was shown Stomberg then presented the proposed 2009 county budget and tax levy. Each department budget and levy was reviewed. The percentage change in the property tax along with the reasons for the changes was presented.
After the presentation of the proposed budget, Chairman Goodenow opened the meeting to public input concerning the budget and the proposed property taxes.
Chairman Goodenow asked for further comments. After hearing none, he closed the public hearing and announced the time and place for the subsequent levy adoption hearing to be Tuesday December 16, 2008, at 10:15 am in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Lyon County Government Center.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:03pm.
