MARSHALL - Barbara Jean Stevens, 48, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Dec. 23 on charges of second degree driving while impaired with the aggravating factor of two prior DWIs and a charge of driving without a valid license and a charge of no no-fault insurance. Stevens drove with an alcohol concentration of .10, without a valid license and without no-fault insurance Nov. 8 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Stevens' lawyer Cecil Naatz withdrew his motion. A hearing was set for Jan. 6.
MARSHALL - Jorge Castillo Martinez, 28, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Dec. 23 on a charge of aggravated forgery. Martinez used a fake Minnesota identification card and Social Security card to try and buy a cell phone on March 23, 2006, in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A plea hearing was set for Jan. 9.
MARSHALL - Amber Felicity Wigton, 28, of Lynd appeared in Lyon County District Court Dec. 23 in a sentencing hearing on a charge of second degree driving while impaired with the aggravating factors of prior DWIs in 2001 and 2005, second degree DWI and a controlled substance charge. Wigton drove while impaired and possessed 1.1 grams of marijuana July 7 in Marshall, court records said. A sentence was discussed.
