Five running for Redwood County Commissioner seat

Five people have filed to fill a vacant seat on the Redwood County Board, the Redwood County Auditor/Treasurer's Office said Monday.

Candidates who filed for the District 1 commissioner's seat are Troy Krause of Milroy, George Landuyt of Walnut Grove, Jim Ourada of Vesta, Jeff VanDeWiele of Milroy and Lon Walling of Milroy.

Unless enough candidates withdraw from the race, the affected voting precincts in Redwood County will have a primary election Jan. 27, the Auditor/Treasurer's Office said.
